Recycled Commonwealth Games Messenger Bag
In 2011 New Delhi, home of our artisan partners Conserve India, hosted the international Commonwealth Games. The Commonwealth Games is an international, multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. The event was first held in 1930 and takes place every four years. Conserve India, a leader in women’s fair trade employment and recycling, was given the vinyl promotional banners that lined the streets of Delhi after the games were over. Each bright banner was cut and styled into fabulous, one of a kind, limited edition messenger bags. Each bag features a different brightly colored section of the sporting banners, and has a sturdy vinyl adjustable strap.
