Continuity Recycled paper dangle earrings
Akwele Suma selects a palette of grey, brown, cream and golden hues for the design of these earrings. Adorned with sese wood beads, the earrings are crafted by hand with rolled up strips of paper recycled from a variety of printed sources. Secured with waxed linen threads, the earrings hang from brass wires.
The artist uses the paper at hand so paper colors will vary, making each design a unique example of handcrafted art. These beads receive a protective coat of clear nail polish.
