Courageous Ohene in Brown Taupe and Cream Courageous King Wood African Wall Mask
Hand etched details give this decorative African mask a distinctive look that will make the perfect conversation piece for your home or office wall. Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu hand carves the mask from sese wood and etches designs in the mask’s forehead and cheeks, which are painted a taupe color accented in cream, with additional accents in black and brick red throughout the mask. The blue double blade symbol on the forehead is the Akofena Adinkra symbol that represents courage. The artisan titles this mask Ohene, a Ghanaian akan word that means ‘king.’
