Ntoboase III African Patience Wood Mask with Stand Crafted by Hand
From Rita Addo Zakour’s ‘Ntoboase’ series, this original mask represents ‘Patience,’ in the Akan language. The seed-like sese wood image is crafted by hand featuring a cape-like design under the chin. The artisan decorates her design with painted details as well as with embossed aluminum and brass on the forehead, cheeks and below the chin.
