Akonobaa Handmade Sese Wood African Statue Sculpture
West African artist Cynthia Danquah presents this beautiful, hand carved sculpture of sese wood that depicts an African woman holding the day’s haul from the market on her head. Akonobaa means ‘beautiful woman’ in the Akan language, and this sculpture, with its recycled glass bead skirt and top is the perfect celebration of the female form.
