Send Good Packs to Homeless Americans and their Pets
Americans experiencing homelessness need YOUR help. Donate to send Good Packs to people in need!
Every night, thousands of unhoused people are left without consistent access to shelter, warmth, food, and hygiene supplies. For many with pets, the homeless shelter is not an option. Most homeless shelters in the United States don’t allow animals and would require unhoused people with pets to abandon the only family they know for a warm place to stay. And for victims of natural disasters and other large catastrophes, there simply may not be enough shelter and supplies for all the survivors.
Good Packs Can Change Lives
Each Good Pack for a person in need will include:
- a backpack to hold supplies and possessions
- a hygiene kit including shampoo, soap, and toothbrush
- a reusable water bottle
- a t-shirt and socks to provide a clean change of clothing
- a blanket for warmth and comfort
Each Good Pack for a pet in need will include:
- a bag to hold the pet supplies securely
- a collapsible bowl
- a slip lead leash
- treats and a toy
As Greater Good Charities continues to work to convert more homeless shelters to accept pets, Good Packs with pet supplies help keep people and their pets together during the deepest moments of crisis and in the most desperate situations, ensuring the emotional support of the human-animal bond can continue.
YOU can help Americans and their pets experiencing homelessness across the country by providing essentials during a time of need. Just $25 can send a Good Pack. Give today.

February 2024 Update: Good Packs for Wildfire Victims in Maui
In August of 2023, wildfires prompted evacuations, destroyed thousands of properties, killed about 100 people, and left 5,000-plus people and their pets homeless. GreaterGood, in partnership with Greater Good Charities, has been working to help those struggling after this crisis, and in February, we helped fund more than 500 Good Packs, which the GGC team personally transported to Maui and distributed to unhoused people and pets in need.
Denise Bash, GGC’s VP of Pet Programs, went with the team to Maui and spent several days distributing bags to displaced people at hotels, beaches, and parks in the area. She says, “I saw some tears, I got many hugs, I sat with many of them and talked…they were incredibly thankful.”
