Barong Macan II Barong Macan Wood Mask from Bali Handpainted
Made Mulyani of Bali presents yet another carved wood mask in the image of Barong in tiger form–beloved creature and prominent figure in Hindu mythology. The mask is hand carved and features traditional Balinese carving techniques to achieve great detail, particularly in the crown and mane. Mulyani uses an antiquing effect to achieve subdued colors reminiscent of an artifact.
