Funded-Help Heal Panchito’s Injured Hip
It’s unclear what caused sweet Panchito’s injuries, but it was very clear when he arrived at a Houston shelter that he needed immediate care. Panchito’s right hip is dislocated and his left tibia fractured. While he has somehow remained in good spirits, his limp shows that this pretty husky has certainly been in a lot of pain. Panchito’s chances of adoption without treatment are slim to none.
Surgery is imperative to Panchito’s recovery. He’ll need two costly orthopedic operations: a femoral head ostectomy to improve hip mobility, and a cross-pinning of his tibia fracture to relieve his leg pain. After surgery, Panchito will undergo physical therapy to help him adjust. Then, he can pursue his dreams of running and playing without pain once again!
