Sweet Lena was brought in by a volunteer to a shelter in Tampa Bay. She was in constant pain, unable to open her mouth due to a fractured jaw. Since she was injured before coming to the shelter, no one is sure how it happened, but it affects Lena’s ability to eat. She’s receiving pain medication as doctors determine the severity of her injury, but this sweet girl certainly needs surgery to avoid permanent distortion of her face.
Lena’s broken jaw impedes her ability to live a normal life. She needs oral surgery and a few weeks of rehabilitation, but then her prognosis is good! She’ll soon be ready for adoption into a loving home.
