Gabonese Abstraction Abstract Circular African Mask from Gabon and the Congo
Abstract in concept, this African mask represents those used in rituals by the Kidumu men’s society. Christopher Nyasafo takes his inspiration from the Teke-Tsaye people of Gabon and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Ghanaian artisan carves the piece by hand and paints it in green, orange and ivory.
