Help People and Pet Victims of Devastating Floods
Under Water: Rush Aid to People and Pets Across Central Europe
Days of unprecedented rainfall have pushed rivers to record levels across Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic, resulting in catastrophic flash flooding destroying thousands of homes and claiming as many as 24 lives.Â
Now, Poland has declared a state of emergency and the damage across the region is expected to reach billions in euros. Some villages inundated with flooding have turned off power, prompting water safety concerns, sewage issues, and the impact of no electricity amidst extreme weather events. Â
Â
Greater Good Charities is on the ground assisting partners in providing emergency aid. We need your help to respond quickly to the needs across this region.Â
Â
Please help us send urgent aid for people and pets. These include hygiene and comfort items for displaced families as well as pet essentials. Our Disaster Response team is mobilizing shipments of pet food and supplies for animal shelters facing an influx of lost pets due to flooding.
Â
Greater Good Charities is dedicated to being there when it matters. With the help of our amazing community of donors, we’ve provided truckloads of supplies, food for both people and animals, medicine, emergency transport for pets and much-needed funding in the wake of extreme weather events like devastating hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes, and dangerous flooding.
We approach flood response in three complementary ways: thinking ahead and preparing communities for imminent natural disasters, responding during flooding by helping on the ground with supplies and relief work, and boosting recovery by directly aiding people and pets and helping to rebuild infrastructure. But we can’t do it without YOU.
We need YOUR help now! Your support allows Greater Good Charities to prepare first response teams as quickly as possible whenever the next disaster strikes. Your donation can support Greater Good Charities’ disaster relief efforts to help those affected by life-altering floods.Â
