Passion for Coffee Coffee-Shaped Light Green Jade Stud Earrings from Guatemala
Riffing off of conventional designs, Pablo Roquel proudly designs this pair of stud earrings, featuring innovative techniques. Inspired by his love for coffee, the artisan crafts the petite earrings to feature ovals of light green Guatemalan jade. Wavy textures etched across their surfaces mimic the cloven appearance of the coffee bean. Coffee and jade were of great importance to the ancient Maya, each used for religious rituals and marking social status.
