PAWS LIFELINE FUND: Rescue Pets From Major Cases of Abuse and Neglect
Millions of animals die from abuse and neglect every year. Often, this abuse is carried at unthinkable scales, with hundreds of pets affected. Now, you can help rescue innocent animals from this cruelty.
News of horrific cruelty seems to reach us daily: animals victimized in puppy mills, by organized animal fighting rings, hoarding, and cruel laboratory testing. These animals live in inhumane conditions, are denied love and care, and, in some instances, are abused for the entertainment and satisfaction of humans.
Rescuing animals from large-scale abuse situations like these can be costly and time-consuming. Animal shelters, law enforcement, and rescue organizations work together to humanely remove the animals and document conditions. The health and safety of the animals and people involved is also top priority, and oftentimes, sick and injured animals must be rushed to care immediately. In order to fund important rescues like these, we need your help.Â
With your donations to the Paws Lifeline Fund, Greater Good Charities partners with on-the-ground organizations across the U.S. to fund rescue missions and the treatment of victimized animals.
Your donation will directly impact the lives of these furry survivors and can fund projects like the one described.
- Essential medical careÂ
- Rehabilitation
- TransportationÂ
- Critical shelter supplies
- Food and Nourishment
Â
Whether it’s veterinary treatments, behavior training, or simply providing a warm bed and nourishing meals, your support will help rebuild the shattered lives of these pets. These poor, abused, and neglected animals deserve better lives. Your gift can support them on their journey to heal.
Together, we can put an end to animal cruelty. Just $10 given to the Paws Lifeline Fund can go towards rescuing and saving abused animals in need and fund more rescues like these:
EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Pennsylvania SPCA’s Animal Law Enforcement team rescued 92 cats and kittens from a breeder in Lancaster County, PA.Â
After a tip from concerned cat lovers who had recently purchased a Ragdoll kitten from the breeder, a search warrant was issued to investigate the premises. What law enforcement found was appalling. Nearly 100 cats were living in deplorable conditions. Many had ringwork and upper respiratory infections. All of the cats were filthy and neglected. The breeder hadn’t brought the cats to a vet.
Greater Good Charities’ Emergency Animal Medical fund and The Animal Rescue Site stepped up to help cover the cost of their medical treatment, nursing these poor cats back to health.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE:Â The Humane Society of Wichita County and the Texas Animal Investigation & Response (AIR) team rescued over 400 animals from horrible cruelty at a local pet store.Â
There were 12 species in all being kept in the pet store with barely any food or water. Dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and more were being forced to live in crowded, deplorable conditions that threatened their health and well-being. They were scared, sick, and suffering.Â
AIR’s volunteers rushed to the scene to remove the animals from the store. It took 408 hours and 15 volunteers to safely extract them. With your support, Greater Good Charities was able to provide grants to both the Humane Society of Wichita County and AIR, along with in-kind donations of animal care and enrichment items. Now, these innocent animals are on their way to happy, healthy lives free of cruelty and neglect.Â
Sadly, cases like these happen every day, and animals are in crisis until help arrives for them. With your donation today, you can help Greater Good Charities support organizations that are rescuing animals nationwide. Will you be there in their time of need?Â
