Spring Splendor Peruvian Reverse-Painted Glass Jewelry Chest
Working in the time-honored art form of reverse-painted glass, Peru’s Ortiz Family creates this small but beautiful jewelry chest. Featuring two drawers and an upper compartment with a mirror, the wooden chest is covered with glass panes that have been painted on their reverse sides with detailed motifs in subtle shades of parchment, celadon and pistachio. Gleaming gold paint is applied to the trim.
