Tricolor Pucara Bulls Ceramic Sculptures
Multicolored floral motifs are painted by hand on the surface of these three ceramic figurines, depicting saddled bulls in turquoise, green, and red with metallic-colored horns and accents. The sculptures are presented by Peru’s Maribel Posso Olivares, who draws her inspiration from the myth of the torito de Pucará, or Pucara bull, which brought water to the ancient village of Pucara by piercing the side of a mountain with its horn.
