Ukraine Crisis: Feed Pets in Need
Dogs and cats in Ukraine are starving. URGENT help is needed to send pet food into Ukraine as the country faces severe food shortages for both people and pets.
It has been two years since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, and Ukrainians need you now more than ever. Over 13 million Ukrainians have fled their homes since the Russian invasion began, many of them with pets. More pets are without food than ever before. The war is causing a global food crisis, and that is felt within Ukraine for both people and pets. Russia has seized grain stores in Ukraine and destroyed farmland. Ukrainian animal shelters cannot access basic resources like food to care for their pets, and refugees who lost everything need food and support to care for their cats and dogs. You can help.Â
Greater Good Charities is on the ground responding and has established a distribution network to move large quantities of pet food directly to the people and pets who need it. Together with our partners at The Animal Rescue Site we are purchasing truckloads of emergency food to send to shelters caring for pets within Ukraine and distribution centers in neighboring countries helping refugees with pets. But we cannot do it without you.
We’re also working to set up feeding stations in Ukraine for starving street animals without access to food or water.
For just $25, you can provide over 500 nutritious meals that will be delivered straight to hungry pets impacted by this crisis. For families who fled with their pets, pet food means they won’t need to worry about caring for their dog or cat on top of everything else. And for shelters in Ukraine, this emergency relief means they can continue to care for the animals in their care and the new ones coming in every day.
Ukrainian refugees, shelters, and pets need you now. Every dollar donated can provide a minimum of 10 meals to feed hungry pets affected by the Ukraine crisis, giving relief to their families and those caring for them. Donate now.
Greater Good Charities has ultimate authority and discretion with regard to the distribution of its funds. All expenditures made are consistent with the exempt purposes of Greater Good Charities.

Kharkiv region: The Kharkiv region is undeniably still one of the areas continuously suffering from shelling, and there remains a need for the evacuation and care of animals.
Despite all the circumstances, people are still there who care for, feed, treat, and find homes for abandoned animals.
Your donations are helping to feed these innocent animals.Â

Meet Dudova Larysa.
She has been rescuing, caring, and feeding animals for the past ten years. She has taken in homeless pets from the street and given them a safe place to live.
“Every year, the number of animals in my shelter increases. Throughout 2022-2023, we rescued abandoned dogs in Vasylkiv. Just this year, I have taken in 10 puppies. We have vaccinated them and will be looking for families for them,” she told us.
She thanks you for your donation of nutritious food to the 80 dogs and 120 cats in her care.Â
